Imagine Dragons have just premiered their new music video for their latest single, “Wrecked.” The single is the third off the band’s upcoming album.
Imagine Dragons have had a lot of time to work on music. So they recently announced a new album, Mercury Act 1. Which comes with the promise of another album.
The album will include the recently released singles “Follow You” and “Cutthroat.” So far, they haven’t announced the official track list, but they recently shared another song from the album, “Wrecked.”
Talking about the song, lead singer Dan Reynolds shared that the song is about losing his sister-in-law to cancer.
He wrote: “The next song off our upcoming album Mercury. I wrote this shortly after th passing of my sister-in-law Alisha passed away after a year of battling cancer. I wish you all could have known her. She was ferocious and strong. Powerful. Bold. Beautiful. Resilient.
Dan continued: “Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I see her in every smile. Every act of grace and humility I witness. She is in everything good. And in that way, she lives on.”
Dan finished the note: “I love you Alisha. I hope you are hearing this somewhere and dancing like you always did at the shows. Front row like no one was watching. But we all were.”
