James Wan, the director behind The Conjuring series, is now back with a new trailer for Malignant. The first look at the upcoming movie promises the same scares as the other ones.
Malignant just debuted its second trailer. The movie is a new horror from Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring series director James Wan. From the trailer, it shows a lot of potential to be a true fright fest.
Malignant stars Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle, The Mummy), Maddie Hasson (YouTube’s Impulse, Mr. Mercedes), George Young (Containment), Michole Briana White (Black Mafia Family, Dead to Me), Jacqueline McKenzie (Palm Beach, Reckoning), Jake Abel (Supernatural, Host, the Percy Jackson films) and Ingrid Bisu (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Nun).
The new movie, Malignant, follows Madison, a woman who has violent visions that are somehow tied to her childhood imaginary friend, Gabriel. But it all turns to worse as she discovers that the grisly visions are, in fact, real.
The new trailer also provides audio commentary from the director. He talks about the creative process of trying to make a different kind of horror every time.
From the looks of the trailer, the dark shots and the malicious spirits, there may be some evil presents, but, so far, its’ hard to say what’s real.
The wait ain’t long, though. Malignant is scheduled to be released theatrically and on HBO Max in the United States on September 10, 2021.
