Queen Elizabeth has just tested positive for Covid-19. The news comes a few days after Prince Charles and Camilla have also tested positive.
While some think the pandemic is almost over, it looks like it isn’t. And the Royal Family is now testing positive.
First, it was Prince Charles, who tested positive for the virus twice since the health crisis began. Days after her husband, Prince Charles’s wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, also tested positive.
Now Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for covid-19, too, Buckingham Palace revealed.
On Tuesday, the Queen attended her first official engagement since coming into contact with Prince Charles last week. She held a virtual meeting with two new ambassadors to the UK.
According to BBC, the Queen, 95, is experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” but expects to continue “light duties” at Windsor over the coming week, the palace said.
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” it added in a statement.
A number of people at Windsor Castle, where the Queen resides, have also tested positive.
The Queen received her first jab of the vaccine in January 2021, and it’s believed she’s had the booster, as well.
