Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce couldn’t help but hype up Taylor Swift for her historic Grammy win.
On Monday night, the Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, shared his pride about his superstar girlfriend’s latest musical achievement on Sunday night. “She’s unbelievable. She’s re-writing the history books herself,” the pro athlete said about her fourth Album of the Year win, which made her the only artist to win the category four times. “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with hardware, too.” Kelce is about to play again in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.
Although Travis Kelce couldn’t be with Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards, he did watch the show live. “We landed in Las Vegas just in time for me to turn it on on my phone and catch her winning her 13th award, announcing her new album, and then obviously the big one at the end, the Album of the Year for the fourth time setting records, it was pretty amazing.”
During his interview, Kelce also admitted he’s heard Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department. “I have heard some of it, yes. It is unbelievable, I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.” He didn’t give any further details, though. Kelce also admitted that “Anti-Hero” is his current favorite song, “just because I hear it every single day.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift started talking in July 2023, and made their first appearance at his game against the Chicago Bears. It all happened after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed during an episode of his podcast New Heights that he made her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he couldn’t give it to her.
