Britney Spears took it to social media to talk about the recent documentaries about her conservatorship. While her fans are campaigning to #FreeBritney, the superstar called the documentaries “so hypocritical.”

Britney Spears has been in the media a lot lately. The “Toxic” singer has been under conservatorship ever since 2008. But she seems to have overcome her mental struggles, so why can’t she be free? Ever since 2008, her father was in charge of her career, money, and life.

News broke out a few days ago that Britney requested to address the court directly about her conservatorship. Her next hearing will be on June 23. Spears’ lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, said that the pop star “requested that I seek from the court a status hearing at which she can address the court directly,” according to The New York Times.

This year, The New York Times Presents released the Framing Britney Spears documentary. At the time, Spears commented that she didn’t watch the documentary, but “cried for two weeks.” She continued: “I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people. It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this day πŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ‘ŽπŸΌ.”

Ever since Framing Britney Spears, there are other documentaries in the works. But Britney allegedly doesn’t approve. She took it to social media and wrote: “Geez !!!! 2021 is definitely way better than 2020 but I never knew it was gonna be like THIS 😳😳😳 !!!!” she captioned the video. “So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!!”

She continued, “These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”????? Damn … I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my life and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ !!!!”

“I mean … isn’t this supposed to be a business and society about THE FUTURE 🀧🀧🀧 ???? Why highlight the most negative and traumatizing times in my life from forever ago ???? I mean DAMN …” she added.

Considering that Britney isn’t allowed to run her social media, some fans don’t believe it’s Britney who wrote this. Some claim Britney would never call out everyone like that. While others believe she might have written this, to switch the narrative to her present.

For the last few months, Britney has been sharing videos dancing or showing off outfits. She is enjoying her life as much as she can, and having several documentaries bring back her meltdown in 2007 is not helping. However, there hasn’t been any sign that the “Baby One More Time” singer is actually running her social media.

We look forward to hearing more about her hearing on June 23.
