Actor Sean Penn has arrived on Thursday in Ukraine, and he’s looking at the opportunity of a lifetime: he’s there to film a documentary about the Russian invasion.
The world hasn’t stopped talking about the Russian invasion. Ever since president Vladimir Putin woke up today and thought, “Hmm, it’s a good day to go to war,” the entire world has its eyes on his moves.
With the world hoping the Russian invasion will stop, and hundreds of Ukrainians fleeing the country, some are putting themselves in the harm’s way to protect the country. Thousands of soldiers are braving the Kremlin attacks, hoping they’ll win.
Sean Penn has reportedly arrived in Ukraine on Thursday, February 24, in an effort to document what is going on.
The actor arrived in Kyiv, the country’s capital, after the Russian invasion. He’s reportedly hoping he’ll get a chance to tell the world the truth about the current situation.
Penn sat in a press conference briefing. He also spoke to journalist and the military to get a better understanding of Ukraine’s defense.
This isn’t his first time in Ukraine, as he first arrived in November to prepare for the documentary. Back then, he visited with the Ukrainian military.
The Office of the President of Ukraine is praising the actor for showing “courage and honesty.”
