HBO Max has just released the first trailer for the upcoming Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That. And it’s taking us right back to twenty years ago.
And Just Like That… and we have a trailer.
After a lot of paparazzi pictures and fans submitting pics of the three main stars filming on the streets of New York, here’s something official.
The Sex and the City reboot doesn’t feature one of the four friends, Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall. While we don’t have an idea how they’re going to explain Samantha’s absence from the four, the show must go on. Literally.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are all back in center stage. Other familiar names returned for the show, including Chris Noth, who plays Mr. Big.
But the new version might bring some trouble for the will-they-won’t-they couple, who struggled to be together for the entirety of Sex and the City.
The 50-seconds trailer shows the girls navigating through their lives, and SJP’s Carrie Bradshaw says: “They say some things never change. But the truth is, life is full of surprises. And as your story unfolds, the city reinvents itself. And just like that… a new chapter begins.”
In case you missed it, SJP partnered up with Airbnb, and you get an opportunity to stay in Carrie Bradshaw’s New York apartment.
The reboot will also serve as a tribute to Willie Garson, who passed away just less than two months ago, at 57.
HBO Max’s And Just Like That… premieres on December 6.
