Update, September 6: It’s Official – Joe Jonas Files for Divorce From Game of Thrones Actress Sophie Turner [STATEMENT]
Are Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner getting a divorce? For the past few days, rumors indicated that the two might go their separate ways.
The Jonas Brother and the Game of Thrones actress are one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. The two have been married for four years and share two daughters.
However, these past few days, rumors indicated that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner might be getting a divorce. TMZ was the first to report the couple was heading for a split. Later, a source told PEOPLE that the Jonas Brothers singer retained a divorce lawyer.
Representatives for Jonas did not immediately respond to the outlet’s request for comment. A rep for Turner, meanwhile, declined to comment.
Despite the divorce rumors, Joe Jonas was seen still wearing his wedding ring. He uploaded a picture to Instagram still wearing it, as well as during the Jonas Brothers tour stop in Austin, Texas on Sunday.
Sophie’s last Instagram post, from August 14, also includes a picture of Joe. Although celebrities are quick to delete pictures of their significant others in event of a breakup, the two still haven’t deleted the pictures.
That means that there might be a chance that the sources reporting the divorce might not be accurate. However, there’s still no word about the separation from either Joe or Sophie.
The two first connected on Instagram through DMs in 2016. A year later, Joe popped the question. They shared a picture of Turner’s hand showing off her engagement ring. Jonas captioned the image, “She said yes,” while Turner also wrote, “I said yes.“
They tied the knot in 2019 with a surprise wedding in Las Vegas, following by a more extravagant one in the French countryside.
In 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Willa. In July 22, they welcomed their second child, whose name they have not publicly shared.
