Don’t Worry Darling, Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller just debuted at the Venice Film Festival. But there’s nothing happy about that, because there’s a lot going on.
From Florence Pugh skipping the movie’s press conference, to Olivia dismissing the “tabloid gossip,” to poor reviews and Harry Styles allegedly spitting on Chris Pine, this movie’s got it all. All but good reviews, that is.
And now it looks like there might be trouble in Paradise for Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde, too. Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde replaced her original male lead Shia LaBeouf with Harry in Autumn 2020, where they met.
There have been numerous conflicting reports about Olivia’s split from her ex partner, Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two children.
Harry and Olivia confirmed their relationship when they were seen holding hands at his agent’s wedding in Montecito, California, on January 3 2021. However, they rarely spoke about their relationship or appeared in public.
Their romance is also said to be the catalyst for a rumored feud between Olivia and lead actress Florence Pugh.
A report from Page Six in late July claimed that Pugh was upset that Wilde was hooking up with Styles during the production. She was at that time still with Jason Sudeikis — before they split in November.
“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,” the source told the outlet.
People couldn’t fail to notice Pugh has sparsely posted about the film on her social media accounts. She also skipped Monday’s photocall and press conference for the movie. Officially, they said it was because she’s filming Dune in Budapest. She did attend the red carpet.
When it comes to Harry and Olivia, the two acted very uncoupley.
According to a fan, he even refused to pose next to her. @amitheonlyone_n wrote: “SOMEONE FROM OLIVIA’S TEAM ASKED HARRY TO TAKE PICTURES WITH HER/STAND NEXT TO HER AND HE SAID NO.”
DeuxMoi also claims the two are “on edge” because of Shia, since he reportedly didn’t know about the video of him addressing the firing rumors.
Of course, the couple could’ve opted to act all professional on the red carpet. Especially with all the rumors of their hooking up prior to her split. But since the two actively avoided each other, could they be finally over?
This also adds a lot of fuel to the fire for those who have been claiming that their relationship was a PR stint for the movie.
