After a decade together, Aubrey Plaza married Jeff Baena. Plaza, 36, revealed the news of their marriage on Instagram. In a new post about her upcoming project, she called the director, 43, her “darling husband”.
Aubrey Plaza and director Jeff Baena have been linked since 2011. The couple have done several project together. Aubrey starred in his movies Life After Beth (2014) and The Little Hours (2017).
The couple has teamed up for another project. Aubrey Plaza will star alongside Alison Brie, Alessandro Nivola, Molly Shannon and Lil Rel Howery in Spin Me Round. The movie is an indie comedy, with Baena at the helm. Baena also co-wrote the script with Brie.
Aubrey’s Instagram announcement features a sweet photo of the longtime couple. “So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to italia to cause some more trouble.”
The two have been working together a lot lately. Aubrey is to make directorial debut in Showtime’s new found footage anthology series Cinema Toast, which Baena created. The couple worked on the series together while quarantining at home.
Aubrey recently told PEOPLE: “We were quarantined for months and months like everybody else. And we did enjoy it. I think it was, obviously other than all of the catastrophic things happening in the world, just on a personal level, relationship level, was kind of nice to just be forced to be in one place for that long. Could have gone either way, I guess.”
Her rep later confirmed with PEOPLE that the pair have wed.
