Here’s some breakup rumors swirling all over the internet: that John Mulaney and Olivia Munn might be over already. The couple is expecting their first child together.
Oh, Hollywood romances, easy comes, easy goes.
Barely one month and a half ago, the comedian made an unexpected visit on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and revealed some great news. That he and actress Olivia Munn were expecting their first child together.
Mulaney couldn’t compliment Munn enough, sharing how supportive she had been to him in the entire relationship. He said at the time: “I packed a lot into this… Is it September now? I went to rehab in September, I got out in October, I moved out of my home from my ex-wife. Then in the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.”
John added: “I got into this relationship that’s been really beautiful with someone incredible. And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news!”
But now there are a lot of breakup rumors surrounding John Mulaney and Olivia Munn.
A source close to the couple claims that “this has been an imperfect relationship from the start,” in a conversation with Us Weekly. The same source adds that the actress will be a great mother, but “Olivia’s friends just don’t see these two being a couple in a year’s time.”
Let’s add to the mix another anonymous source, this time from the Instagram account Deuxmoi. According to the message, it says that the “B-C list celebrity [Munn] and her baby daddy A-list comedian [Mulaney] have recently called it quits. The source shared they knew the information from a “friend who works in publicity,” and the two “are not attempting to fake the relationship for the public, but it won’t be announcing it either.”
Could it be true? Given what we’ve known of Munn, she’s quite private about her personal life. So it’s less likely she will step up and comment. They were also a pretty new couple, so a shared statement sounds off the table.
Time will tell though. And, obviously, I’ll keep you posted.
