Britney Spears is coming after everyone in her upcoming book, including her ex, Justin Timberlake, as she revealed she had an abortion when they dated because JT “didn’t want to be a father.”

Britney Spears has been through a lot in her life. Even conservatorship aside, the media constantly hunted her. They asked inappropriate questions during interviews, the paparazzi wouldn’t leave her alone, and all the men she dated were after her money. Some even wanted more.
You might all remember that, in the early 2000s, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were the It couple, basically pop royalty.
They dated since 1999 to 2002 when their relationship ended abruptly. There were many rumors about their breakup, including cheating, which Timberlake himself perpetuated. He wrote “Cry Me a River” and “What Goes Around.”
In return, Spears replied with “Everytime,” which now seems to be getting a new meaning.

The pop icon, 41, reveals that when she dated Justin Timberlake, she became pregnant with his baby but had an abortion, PEOPLE reports.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Spears writes of the pregnancy in the book. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
She writes in the book: “If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
Spears writes of her experience undergoing the abortion: “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”
She later became a mom to Sean Preston and Jayden James with former husband Kevin Federline. Timberlake himself is now father to two children with wife, actress Jessica Biel.

In case you’re wondering, why is this news, you might not remember their stances on premarital sex. In the beginning of the 2000s, Britney was hypersexualized but she still had to maintain that “innocent” look. So, their official stance on premarital sex? They weren’t having it.
Although Britney mostly kept quiet about their relationship, JT didn’t take the high road. Instead, he boasted to everyone that they did it.
Now, Britney is getting even more real about her relationship with Justin and the abortion she had. While there has been some improvement regarding the pro-choice and women’s right to abortion, Britney was always very impressionable and she was young when she consented to the abortion.
The pop icon will release her memoir, The Woman in Me, on Oct. 24.
