Chrissy Teigen broke her silence on Michael Costello‘s accusations, and claimed that he used “fictional screenshots.” Her husband, John Legend, also defended Chrissy and claimed the bullying “never happened.”
This story is getting more tangled with every day.
After Chrissy Teigen’s public apology for her past behavior, fashion designer Michael Costello also stepped up and accused her of bullying.
“She apparently formed her own opinion of me based on a photoshopped comment floating around the internet. When I reached out to Chrissy Teigen to communicate that I was the victim of a vindictive cyber slander, and that everything she thought I was is not who I am, she told me that my career was over and that all my doors will be shut from there on.”
“For the past 7 years, I’ve lived with a deep, unhealed trauma. I wanted to kill myself and I still am traumatized, depressed and have thoughts of suicide.”
After that, Leona Lewis also shared her experience working with the designer. He fired back at Leona’s claims, sharing that her team requested a dress from home as late as last month.
But now Chrissy Teigen released a statement, claiming he used “fictional screenshots”.
She wrote: “No idea what the f*ck michael costello is doing. He just released a statement where he didn’t at ALL acknowledge how fake the dm’s were, & now claims to have emails that don’t exist. So while he conjures those up (hopefully with someone more talented in fakes this time), here.”

Michael Costello also posted videos where he was VERY confused about Leona Lewis’ stylist reaching out and being kind. Imagine my surprise when my past three years have been this: pic.twitter.com/cxiMAlLUvm

Her husband, John Legend, also claimed the bullying “never happened.”
“Chrissy apologized for her public tweets, but after her apology, Mr Costello fabricated a DM exchange between them. This exchange was made up, completely fake, never happened. Honestly I don’t know why anyone would fake DMs to insert themselves in this narrative, but that’s what happened. I encourage everyone who breathlessly spread this lie to keep that same energy when they correct the record.”
