Courtney Love took it to social media and called out Olivia Rodrigo for their similar album covers. The Hole singer claims Olivia copied her Live Through This album cover.
Today started with a lot of drama Courtney Love created.
The Hole lead singer took it to social media to show the similarities between Live Through This and Sour. In the caption, she wrote, “Spot the difference! #twinning!”
Courtney seemed to find many similarities between Olivia’s pic and her cover of Hole’s 1994 album, Live Through This. In both album covers, the women are wearing crowns, have eyeliner running down their faces, and are holding flowers.
Live Through This‘ album cover features fashion model Leilani Bishop and was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. Olivia used the picture to promote her debut album, Sour.
Courtney Love posted the picture on Instagram, and Olivia Rodrigo replied to it immediately.
Olivia replied: “Love u and live through this sooooo much.”
But it looks like Courtney didn’t intended it as a sweet message of support to new fan-favorite Olivia Rodrigo.
Courtney continued that she thought she deserved an apology note and flowers, and asked Olivia to DM her. “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note!”
She also replied to a message on Facebook, calling Olivia “rude:” “I’ve informed her I await her flowers snd note. I sure hope it’s long. Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows. Let’s see. Yes this is rude. Rage inducing ? Honey if I had a dollar for everyone this happens? I’d be real rich!”
