Disney’s Jungle Cruise Debuts New Poster and Trailer

Disney is giving us quite a treat, debuting a new Jungle Cruise poster and a trailer. Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson give us even more banter, fight scenes and amazing scenery.

It’s a very eventful summer for Emily Blunt. The actress has worked hard prior to lockdown, and she has already a few movies set to release soon. The sequel to horror movie A Quiet Place will hit theaters today, May 28.

Then, her action packed Disney movie Jungle Cruise will also arrive in theaters this summer. Jungle Cruise has a new poster and trailer to get us all hyped up again.

Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon. Having its inspiration in the Jungle Cruise ride from Disneyland, the movie features amazing scenery and adventures.

Dr. Lily Houghton (Blunt) travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle to find an ancient tree with unique healing abilities. She hires Frank Wolff (Johnson) to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. The tree she’s looking for possesses the power to change the future of medicine.

But the road there isn’t easy, and the two have a lot of obstacles before reaching the end of their quest. The banter between the two is priceless, adding the typical Johnson humor to the mix. Emily Blunt rocks the role, almost as a modern day princess for girls out there: smart, self-sufficient, and badass.

Like the majority of the movies coming out this year, Jungle Cruise had a different opening in mind. The movie was slated for October 11, 2019 before being moved to July 24, 2020. Then it was delayed again to its current date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can see the movie in theaters or order it on DisneyPlus with Premier Access July 30. Additional Fee Required.
