Dylan O’Brien is now discussing his decision not to star in the upcoming Teen Wolf movie. He also adds that “I hope it f–king kicks ass.“
Dylan O’Brien became famous thanks to his role as Stiles Stilinski in the MTV series, Teen Wolf. The show ran six seasons, and now, there’s a movie in the works.
But, when they announced the official announcement of the cast for the Teen Wolf movie, Dylan O’Brien was missing. Which saddened everyone, considered Stiles was a fan-favorite character.
In a new interview with Variety, the actor, who was in and out during the show’s last season, revealed why he won’t be a part of the Paramount Plus movie.
“It was a difficult decision. A lot went into it,” O’Brien explained. “The show couldn’t be more dear to me. It was the first thing I ever did I and so many people there are extremely dear to me. It was something I was trying to make work but it all happened very fast. We didn’t really know that it was happening and they kind of just threw it at us a little bit, which is fine because we all love the show. We were trying to figure it out.”
O’Brien added: “Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. I wish them well and I’m going to watch it the first night it comes out. I hope it f*cking kicks ass, but I’m not going to be in it.”
Dylan O’Brien isn’t the only one missing from the revival. Tyler Hoeclin, who played Derek, is also missing from the original cast.

It will include original cast members Tyler Posey (Scott McCall), Holland Roden (Lydia), Colton Haynes (Jackson), Shelley Hennig (Malia), Crystal Reed (Allison), Orny Adams (Coach Bobby Finstock), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Noah Stilinski), JR Bourne (Chris Argent), Seth Gilliam (Dr. Alan Deaton), Ryan Kelley (Deputy Jordan Parrish), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall) and Dylan Sprayberry (Liam).
