Elon Musk and Grimes may or may not have broken up. The billionaire shared in an interview they’ve “semi-separated,” yet, they see each other.
We might never get to understand what’s like to live like a billionaire, and have the same space to be as eccentric as they are.
But Elon Musk and Grimes were never the traditional couple, and now it looks like they’ve broken up. Ish?
The two were first romantically linked in May 2018, and they share 16-month-old son with the world’s most joked about name, X Æ A-Xii.
The 50-year-old Tesla founder has confirmed that he and the Canadian singer, 33, may have broken up.
He told Page Six: “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
The news comes a few days after Grimes made headlines about sharing her baby doesn’t call her mom. In an interview with Vogue ( via People. ) while getting ready for the 2021 Met Gala, she revealed: “I think having a baby was a big rebirth for me, like, artistically. Being a mother feels weird to say. For some reason, I don’t identify with that word. Which is also really weird because X, he says ‘Claire,’ but he doesn’t say ‘mama’—which is so…I’m like, ‘How are you…?’ Like, maybe he can sense my distaste for the word mother. “I don’t even know why I have a distaste for [the word] because I respect…I just, I don’t, I can’t identify with it, weirdly.”
