Fans were excited to see the six stars of Friends get together for the Friends Reunion. But they were also quick to notice that Matthew Perry seemed a bit off and uncomfortable. Friends producer Kevin Bright talked gave a health update on Matthew Perry, and said he looked “stronger and better.”

The Friends Reunion brought us the nostalgia and love for the six stars. Jennifer AnistonCourteney CoxLisa KudrowMatt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all got together again. They reenacted some scenes, and gave us some insight into what was like to film Friends over 20 years ago.

But what fans were quick to notice was that Matthew Perry’s speech seemed slurred. He also looked pretty uncomfortable.

Friends executive Kevin Bright also spoke and gave a health update on Matthew Perry. He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I talked to him. It was great seeing him again.”

“And what people say is what people say. I don’t have any to say about that, except it was great to see him. And I think he’s very funny on the show. But yes, I think he’s OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.”

Matthew struggled with alcohol and drug abuse while filming Friends. But he’s been sober for a long time now.

Reports came out and revealed Matthew had a dental procedure right before filming the reunion.

Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “Matthew turned up at the reunion and members of his team said he had an emergency tooth procedure that day.”

As we all know, dental procedures are often painful. So Matthew was reportedly “in pain,” which caused the slurred speech. “Obviously no one wants to film after a procedure, but it happened. The feeling was one of huge sympathy for Matthew, especially in recent days, given how people reacted online. Matthew has told those around him that he is sober, and there is no need to worry.”
