This just in: the first trailer for the Gossip Girl reboot is here. The HBO Max show is full of drama, with a lot of secrets, relationships, and a lot of amazing diversity.
While Blair and Serena aren’t around anymore, it doesn’t mean Upper East Side lacks drama. There’s a new group on the horizon, and it starts with the usual, a newcomer.
HBO Max released the first teaser for the reboot over a week ago, and it still shows that the interest in Gossip Girl is there. In the first teaser, Kristen Bell returns as the voice of the Gossip Girl. She’s also back in the trailer.
If it’s something we’ve learnt the last few years is to have more diversity on shows. And it looks like it’s a reality.
In the Gossip Girl reboot trailer we see that the actors, who, of course, are all gorgeous, are of different ages and orientations. The original Gossip Girl had some diversity, and they tried, as much as that period allowed, to give room to other time of romances but straight. But the new trailer gives us more romance and more drama.
Did you miss me?
I know I’ve missed you.
It looks like, instead of text messages, Gossip Girl changes with the times. So this time, it’s an “anonymous Instagram account that spies on our students.”
The new reboot stars Jordan Alexander as Julien Calloway, Eli Brown as Otto Bergmann IV, Thomas Doherty as Max Wolfe, Tavi Gevinson as Kate Keller, Emily Alyn Lind as Audrey Hope, Evan Mock as Aki Menzies, Zion Moreno as Luna La, Whitney Peak as Zoya Lott, and Savannah Lee Smith as Monet de Haan.
