Spotted: HBO Max releases the first teaser for the Gossip Girl reboot. The former CW TV series ran for six seasons, and Kristen Bell is back for more teenage drama.
HBO Max debuted this year, but it’s going strong. The platform, which also offers DC Comics and Warner Bros. content, is channeling all their power in their fight with rival platforms like Netflix and Disney+.
They offer great content, like the Friends Reunion. But that’s not the only throwback HBO Max has in store.
The platform has just released the first teaser for the Gossip Girl reboot. And it has Kristen Bell returning as the voice of the Gossip Girl. Which kinda baffled fans out, because didn’t Dan Humphrey turn out to be Gossip Girl all along?
I can see you.
But moving on to the reboot.
The teaser trailer gives us some insight into (probably) other Upper East Siders, with a lot of secrets. They all appear to be at some kind of fancy (pre-COVID-19) party, where they whisper things to each other and take lots of selfies.
But in the pool of pretty, rich people, we could see that there’s a lot of diversity.
Gossip Girl says: “You’ve gotten so comfortable — thinking you’re in control of your image, your actions, the narrative — that you forgot one thing: I can see you. And before I’m through, I’ll make sure you see you, too.”
The reboot stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith.
Gossip Girl, the reboot, will be available on HBO Max on Thursday, July 8.
XOXO,
