Jennifer Lopez is finally back acting in rom-coms, and the first trailer for Marry Me is here. She stars alongside Owen Wilson and Columbian singer Maluma.
Jennifer Lopez might be internationally famous as a singer, but she is also at her best in cheesy rom-coms. Take Maid in Manhattan, The Wedding Planner or Monster-in-Law. And yeah, they’re not Oscar-worthy, but they’re surely fun.
Now Jennifer Lopez stars in Marry Me, which just debuted its first trailer.
The movie stars Lopez in a very J.Lo-like movie, as a famous singer named Kat Valdez. She is in a relationship with a fellow artist, Bastian (played by Maluma), and the two are to get married in a very extravagant ceremony during a concert. But, just moments before they have to say “I Do,” she finds out he cheated.
So, to get revenge, she chooses someone from the public to try and make him jealous. That person is Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson).
The trailer includes a lot of fantastic outfits from Lopez, and funny moments. But, just like any other trailer nowadays, basically shows the whole movie, because it has a length of three minutes and 30 seconds. Way too excessive.
But, since it’s a rom-com, and it also stars Lopez and Wilson, surely a lot of people will be watching it. I sure will.
