Imagine Dragons have just announced they are dropping a new album, Mercury Act 1, soon! And it comes with the promise of a second act, too.
Imagine Dragons have announced their first album since 2018. The alternative rock band had almost released two albums back to back, Evolve and Origins, one year apart.
Back then, band lead singer Dan Reynolds shared that they had a lot of songs after Evolve, and they “kept creating, so we’ve had these songs, that we could’ve waited a couple of years like bands are supposed to.”
It looks like they’re setting up to do the same thing now. The band announced their upcoming album, Mercury, but this time, they know it will have more than one part.
The album will include the recently released singles “Follow You” and “Cutthroat.” So far, they haven’t announced the official track list, but they had played with the fans to make them guess the title one day before.
On their social media, they wrote: “If anyone guesses the album title tonight, we will announce it tomorrow.”
Difficult to say if anyone actually guessed the title, but they announced it either way. And it will be available in almost two months from now.
The upcoming Imagine Dragons album, Mercury Act 1, will drop on September 3.
