Several stars have announced they have severed ties with Hollywood manager Scooter Braun, but is Justin Bieber still working with him?
Justin Bieber’s career started on YouTube, where he uploaded videos of him singing. While searching for a different artist on YouTube, Hollywood manager Scooter Braun, who was a former marketing executive of So So Def Recordings, stumbled on one of Bieber’s videos. He tracked him down, and soon signed with Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher.
Shortly after, Bieber became quite the phenomenon, taking over the world with singles like “Baby” and “One Less Lonely Girl.”
Ever since he became famous, Justin Bieber was linked to Scooter Braun. But recently, numerous artists have severed ties with the manager. Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande both announced they are no longer working with Braun’s company, SB Projects. They didn’t reveal the reason for their sudden departure.
Prior to that, Columbian singer J Balvin has also stopped working with Braun. He left in May.
But Is Justin Bieber Still Working With Braun?
Right before the news of Grande and Lovato’s departure from SB Projects, Justin Bieber was also rumored to leave Braun.
Bieber, 29, has allegedly been “poking around for a new agency or manager,” Puck claimed in an article published on Friday, August 18. The piece alleged that Bieber and Braun, 42, haven’t “spoken for months” as the “Love Yourself” singer is looking to move his business elsewhere.
So, is it true?
It appears this is all speculation, as more sources came out to debunk the theory. Reps for both parties confirmed to Us Weekly, “This is not true.”
However, neither Braun nor Bieber addressed the allegations at the moment.
