Kourtney Kardashian is known as the one of the few in the Kardashian family who hasn’t gone under the knife. The reality TV star has maintained her natural figure, and works hard for it. (Of course, we’re not going to talk about the plastic surgery she’s had to her face).
But Kourtney Kardashian just shared an unedited photo of her butt in a bikini on her lifestyle website, Poosh. Which has received a lot of praise for showing some cellulite, despite the fact that she’s super fit.
Fans flooded the comments with praise like: “ok finally an unedited kardashian 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻” and “It’s so good to see celebs with cellulite.”
As much as you scroll, women are praising Kourtney for showing something real. Raw. Unedited.
Which isn’t a small feat, you guys. About five years ago, people were Photoshopping and airbrushing massively, and we can see an improvement. Of course, there still is a lot to work on, but there’s a change happening.
People no longer care for the “fake” and “unachievable” looks, and they want to see pores, cellulite, stretch marks, rolls etc. Even Victoria’s Secret have given up their “Angels,” and they’re striving to add models of all sizes. They also stopped Photoshopping their photos intensely.
But is Kourtney Kardashian praise worthy?
If we were to look at her family, they are directly guilty of setting unachievable beauty standards. The Kardashians all look glamorous, fit, gorgeous. But how much surgery, makeup, and airbrushing does it take to get there?
In an era where accepting and loving your body is still hard, yeah, I think Kourtney deserves praise. She’s not perfect, and a lot of her content is still showing a pretty specific lifestyle. It’s also a difficult one. She competes with a lot of thousands of Instagram models who know the power of good lighting and the best poses. Her sisters included.
So each step where they show a glimpse of something natural helps.
