Jameela Jamil is always standing up to celebrities’ bullsh*t, and this time it’s all about Kim Kardashian. And it’s due to her new Variety interview.
Tale as old as time, rich people always think that poor people don’t have money because they don’t work. The “same 24 hours” comments have been discussed again and again. And time does not matter when you have certain privileges. Which wealthy people ignore, like commuting, picking up kids, doing grocery shopping, and the list can go on forever.
But Kim Kardashian is ignoring all of that, because, let’s face it, she’s rich. Her dad, late Robert Kardashian, was a famous lawyer. Plus, Kris Jenner was also married to Caitlyn Jenner, who is an gold-winning Olympic athlete.
In a new interview with Variety to promote their upcoming Hulu reality series, Kim talks about the fact that “nobody wants to work these days.“
The entire, direct quote is: “I have the best advice for women in business,” Kim says. “Get your fucking ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.“
Kim Kardashian might think that, but Jameela Jamil was among the ones who slammed her publicly for it.
She wrote on Twitter: “I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion… nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic. This same 24 horus in the day shit is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a VERY different 24 hours.“
The Marvel actress added: “They are a super impressive family of businesswomen and are products of a ridiculously good start and a genius manager in their mother as well as their own hard work and personal sacrifices.”
However, all of those come with quite a price: “Plus a LOT of photoshop and a decision to not care about misleading people about their beauty claims whilst never disclosing how much secret work goes into their appearances… that they make most of their money from. And a huge amount of money made from questionable diet/detox products and corsets.”
