If you’re new here, you have to know that James Corden and Harry Styles’ friendship is too precious for this world. Corden has been an avid Harry Styles supporter since he went solo after One Direction. And that hasn’t changed.

Harry has just debuted his latest album, Harry’s House, on May 20, and a week later, he introduces us to his second single: “Daylight,” following “As It Was.”

The former One Directioner was part of James Corden’s Late Late Show With James Corden. And the two were on a mission: to film a music video with a very limited budget.

The two started literally knocking on doors in Brooklyn, trying to find the perfect set for the music video. They had a three-hour window and only $300, and no idea what to do.

After several attempts, they found a house, with some very, very lucky Harry Styles fans. They looked for props, decorated, and started rolling. All with the help of the lucky residents. They even got to call other lucky friends to make it look like a party.

During a bathroom “confessional,” Harry said he had nothing to do with it, with a very serious expression. (He’s also an actor, you guys). He added: “I was in a Christopher Nolan movie [Dunkirk], now this is my dressing room,” the British singer added.

Corden was very involved in the aesthetics of it all. He filmed Harry in a bathtub, in the hallways, and living room. They even went to the roof. Which they weren’t supposed to go to. Corden was even in a green suit to help with the visual effects on the roof, while Styles tried his hardest not to start laughing.

The result was amazing, and James even caught Harry Styles’ whimsical energy perfectly, even as it was all meant as a joke. Since James won’t be on The Late Late Show much longer, he could try being a director in the future.
