Jared Padalecki took it to social media and gave an update on his situation with former co-star Jensen Ackles. He revealed they had a “great talk,” and sorted it out.
This morning, fans woke up to the news that Jensen and Danneel Ackles are adapting a Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters. But they couldn’t enjoy the news so much.
Jared Padalecki, who co-starred with Ackles on Supernatural, revealed that he didn’t know about the project, and found out with the rest of the world. Which didn’t sit well with him.
Jared wrote: “Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I’m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever.”
He later replied to a fan that it’s not a joke. “No. It’s not. This is the first I’ve heard about it. I’m gutted.”
This created a full frenzy in the #SPNFamily, which is what the fanbase is called. Knowing the two to be very close, people started judging Jensen harshly.
A few hours after his tweets, Jared went back online and thanked everyone for the support. He wrote:

I care deeply about everybody involved and would be in true misery if any of them were harmed or threatened.
Now Jared Padalecki gave an update on the Jensen situation, and revealed that they are good.
He admitted that, like any other people, they have their own bumps in the road, but it looks like they managed to work it out very quickly.
