Jenna Dewan opened up about having “postpartum anxiety” after welcoming daughter Everly in 2013, with Channing Tatum. The dancer and actress shared the second time was more “grounded,” as she welcomed a baby boy in the pandemic.

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum were #couplegoals for a long time. The two met on the set of Step Up, and sparks flew, literally. They started dating, and shortly got married. They welcomed their daughter, Everly, in 2013.

But since both of them had busy schedules, welcoming their daughter was challenging.

Jenna Dewan opened up about her “postpartum anxiety,” and having to get back to work six weeks after giving birth. Channing was on a different schedule, too.

Jenna shared on Monday’s episode of Dear Media’s podcast Dear Gabby: “I had to travel with her and at the time, Chan wasn’t available to be with us for the most part. So, it was me, my doula, and Evie all by ourselves traveling at six weeks.”

She added “I did have her on set with me constantly. It was just really difficult.” Jenna also revealed that she had “a lot of postpartum anxiety” at the time.

“It was like, I just never stopped. You know, you’re up a couple times in the night and then you’re working all day. I was breastfeeding, I was pumping, I was without a partner, I mean it was just craziness.”

But the second time around, things were different. Jenna shared she was “so grounded,” as she welcomed her second child, son Callum, with fiancé Steve Kazee. She gave birth in March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. Which meant she had more time to be at home, and not have to travel and work. “Even though the world was crazy, I was home and in this love nest and it was different.”
