Kate Middleton is currently self-isolating as she has come in contact with a COVID-19 positive person. The palace confirmed she’s not “experiencing any symptoms.”
Kate Middleton has withdrawn from her activities this week and she’s self isolating after COVID-19 exposure.
The Duchess was alerted of the close contact on Friday (July 2). That was after she attended Wimbledon tennis championship, like she does every year. The Duchess has been vaccinated against the virus with both doses so far. Kate Middleton received her first dose on May 28, a week after Prince William.
Luckily, the palace confirmed the Duchess is not experiencing any symptoms.
A spokesperson for the palace said in a statement, “Last week, The Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home.”
Kate and Prince William were supposed to be at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London for a service of thanksgiving for the U.K.’s public health service, the NHS. They were also to attend a tea party at Buckingham Palace.
Currently, the mother of three is self-isolating, leaving Prince William in charge of their mutual engagements.
