Lilibet Diana, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s second child, has been officially added to the royal line of succession. Currently, she is eighth-in-line to the throne.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet Diana, seven weeks ago. The Royal couple have been enjoying their daughter, and plan to have her christening in the UK.
Prince Harry reportedly discussed the details during his latest visit to the UK, for Princess Diana‘s statue, on what would have been her 60th birthday.
The official Royal.UK website added Lilibet Diana to the royal line of succession. Currently, she is eighth in line to the throne, one place behind her big brother, Archie, 2. She is also two places behind Prince Harry, who is currently sixth in line to Queen Elizabeth‘s throne.
The next in line to the throne is Prince Charles. He is followed by Prince William, and his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Prince Harry, Archie and Lilibet Diana’s places might fall down a bit if Prince William and Kate Middleton decide to have more children, or if their children have children of their own.
The legal line of succession was last updated after Princess Charlotte’s birth, giving her legal right to the throne in front of her male siblings (Prince Louis).
