Yes, we’re back to 2002, and these are the questions stars receive during interviews. Actor Matt Damon, who is Ben Affleck’s BFF, just had an interview on the Today show. And thankfully for the hosts, they asked exactly what everyone wants to know, about the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez rumor.
Is Bennifer a thing already?
Yesterday, I just reported on the fact that Ben and Jennifer had a long vacation together in Montana. I get that there’s certain fascination about old couples. We were all young back then, and it makes us feel melancholic.
But there’s something else about Bennifer that is getting the entire world hyped up. The two were incredibly popular back then, especially in the couple formation. Since they’re breakup, they got even bigger.
But when she was talking about Ben, it felt like she really, really loved him. Just listen to her “Dear Ben” song, off her This Is Me… Then album.
Now TMZ is reporting that it was Ben who started “flooding her with emails while she was filming” her new movie Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic. The publication adds that they were in “very regular contact by email starting in early February.”
TMZ also reveals that a source says that Ben’s emails wasn’t just friendly but also conveyed “loving and longing for Jen.” A source shared, “after seeing pics of Jennifer in the D.R., he wrote to tell her how beautiful she looked, and how much he wished he could be down there with her.”
Ben’s best friend, Matt Damon, also commented on the rumors. When asked him what is going on, Matt promptly replied: “There’s not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that.”
He then played it coy that he just heard about it while waiting to get on the show. We also got that reference, Damon, and wonder what Jimmy Fallon thinks about that.
After the host pushed him a bit more, he confessed it’s a “fascinating story.”
But then Matt added: “I hope it’s true. I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome.”
