There will be a face you won’t see in the upcoming seasons of Selling Sunset: Maya Vander. The reality star and real estate agent will be focusing on her new business in Miami, Florida.
It was just announced that Netflix renewed Selling Sunset for two more seasons, the sixth and the seventh. We’ll get to see new lavish properties in Los Angeles, California, with some of our favorite reality stars, Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Emma Hernan, Davina Potratz, Christine Quinn, Amanza Smith, and Vanessa Villela. Plus, they are joined by twin The O Group co-founders, Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
But one cast member won’t be returning to Los Angeles (for now), as Maya Vander confirmed she is leaving Selling Sunset.
The 40-year-old real estate/ reality star confirmed to Page Six that she had no plans to return to the show. Instead, she’ll be spending her time in Miami, Florida, to focus on her new real estate firm.
Maya clarified to the publication that she had “decided to not execute my contract” for another season of Selling Sunset.
The career move came only two days after revealing that she had another miscarriage on Tuesday, which came six months after she suffered a stillbirth.
But there is no bad blood between her or any of the co-stars. Fans knew Maya as the most rational and drama-free of them all.
“I love the show, and it was great, but I’m excited to focus on the Miami real estate market,’ she continued. “I want to focus on my family, and flying coast to coast is a lot. The show is great, and I love everyone, but looking forward to growing my business in South Florida.”
Vander will be moving on from The O group to Compass, which her firm, the Maya Vander Group, will be part of.
