Megan Fox has a lot of thoughts on the patriarchy and the people who comment on the age difference between her and Machine Gun Kelly. Megan is only four years older than him.
Megan Fox and Colson Baker, on his stage name Machine Gun Kelly, shocked a lot of people when they revealed their relationship. The couple doesn’t care about whether they show too much PDA, and they’re openly in love.
But ever since they made their relationship public, they received a lot of criticism. Despite the fact that both of them comment on how happy they are.
One of those comments are regarding their age difference. Which isn’t that much at all, as Megan is 35, and Colson is 31.
Megan blasted the criticism about the age difference between her and Machine Gun Kelly during her latest InStyle interview. “You want to talk about patriarchy? The fact that he’s four years younger than me, and people want to act like I’m dating a younger man. He’s 31, and I’m 35.”
She added: “Granted, he’s lived like he’s 19 his whole life, but he isn’t 19. No one would blink twice if George Clooney was dating someone four years younger.”
Megan repeated: “Four years? Go f**k yourself. We would have been in high school together. That’s so ridiculous that women are treated that way.”
Colson told InStyle about their relationship: “I don’t think people get the opportunity to believe in real, great love, and that’s what we have together.”
During her interview, Megan also noted on the media’s portrayal of her the last decade. Megan was heavily criticized for basically nothing, except the way she looked. “I was brought out and stoned and murdered at one point. And then suddenly everybody’s like, ‘Wait a second. We shouldn’t have done that. Let’s bring her back.'”
Over a year ago, she also commented on Hollywood in a lengthy social media post.
