Liane Moriarty‘s Nine Perfect Stranger debuts first trailer starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. The story is set a luxury retreat that vows to offer perfection. But it couldn’t be further away from that.
Nine Perfect Strangers is an adaption of Liane Moriarty’s book. If you find that name familiar, it’s because Mrs. Moriarty is also the author of Big Little Lies. HBO adapted the book for a mini series that was so successful it ended up with a second season.
Nicole Kidman also revealed to be a huge fan of Mrs. Moriarty’s books. Having also starred in Big Little Lies, Nicole stars and executively produced the show. Nicole is also a producer for the upcoming adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s book, Truly Madly Guilty.
The eight-part limited series comes from David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Kidman’s Blossom Films and Endeavor Content.
The story revolves around nine strangers who go to a luxury retreat to blow off steam, deal with stress and find better selves. But what they find there is not what they expected. Advertised heavenly, Tranquillum House offers a 10-day treatment that’s anything but relaxing.

Melissa McCarthy also stars as one of the main characters, Frances. The series also stars Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto.
