Prince Harry is going to release a memoir about his life in the Royal Family. Prince Harry didn’t ask for permission, but reportedly informed the palace about it.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to leave their titles as full time royals early last year. The two had a very difficult time with the British press, and wanted more privacy.
So what shocked everyone was to see them more vocal than ever after their move to the US.
Meghan and Prince Harry had a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey early this year, where they shocked everyone. Meghan accused the Royal Family of racism, and talked about her difficult time, and almost suicide.
Prince Harry is planning to release a memoir. Penguin Random House announced on Monday that the Duke of Sussex is writing a memoir that’s scheduled to be released in late 2022.
It looks like Prince Harry didn’t ask for “permission” to write a tell-all memoir, but he did inform the palace and Queen Elizabeth.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment, telling PEOPLE: “Any clarification about the book would be a question for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
In a statement, Prince Harry shared: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become. I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
He continued, “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
