Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t hold back on Oprah tell-all interview. The couple seemed to think it was best at the time, but reports claim Prince Harry regrets and he’s “embarrassed” about the interview.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made headlines when they announced their departure as Senior Royals. Meghan had a hard time fitting into the role, with the press constantly bad-mouthing her. Ever since their wedding, Meghan has been constantly vilified in the press.
In the Oprah tell-all interview, Meghan revealed she struggled with mental health because of the press. She also accused the Royal Family of being racist, and caring about her and Prince Harry’s child’s skin color. In a recent interview, Oprah Winfrey herself admitted it “surprised” her how open both Meghan and Harry were.
At first, that was the path Prince Harry and Meghan wanted to be on. But things seem to have shifted in Prince Harry’s vision.
Prince Harry went back to the UK for his grandfather, Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. Meghan Markle, who is currently pregnant, could not travel for the affair. Everyone enjoyed seeing Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton together as a trio again. The three seem to be in good relations, but word is that Prince Harry feels regretful about the whole ordeal.
Duncan Larcombe, author of “Prince Harry: The Insider Story” breaks the silence on the Oprah tell-all interview. He told UK’s Closer magazine Prince Harry lashed out at the royals because “he’s a hot-headed guy,” Duncan Larcombe, author of “Prince Harry: The Inside Story.”
The longtime royal editor continued: “Harry was clearly hurt and angry about Meghan’s experience with the royals — and used the interview to get it out. But after returning home, I’ve no doubt he’s been feeling embarrassed, regretful and awkward. I’ve heard Harry was feeling numb heading back to LA.
“You could see in his face at the funeral that he was torn. He didn’t think he’d have to face his family so soon – and when he did, he had mixed emotions.”
