Prince William Condemns Racist Abuse At England Players

Prince William Racist Abuse England

Prince William just shared a message condemning the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s finale of Euro 2020. Prince William called it an “abhorrent behaviour.”

Last night, England faced Italy in the Euro 2020 finale. It was England’s first real opportunity at the Euro cup in 55 years, and all of England were supporting the team. “It’s coming home,” was everything everyone was chanting, and they couldn’t be prouder.

Prince William himself released a message wishing the team luck, and so did Queen Elizabeth. She had been there, 55 years ago, to congratulate the team on winning the trophy. She wished she would witness it again.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince George were also present at the game to support the team.

However, the luck just missed the England team, and lost to Italy 3-4 after penalty shots.

Following their defeat, Prince William had written: “Heartbreaking. Congratulations @Azzurri on a great victory. @England, you’ve all come so far, but sadly this time it wasn’t our day. You can all hold your heads high, and be so proud of yourselves — I know there’s more to come. W.”

But, while most of the country congratulated the team for even reaching the finale, the three players who missed the shots received a lot of racism.

Prince William shared another statement condemning the racist abuse at England players.

He wrote on Twitter: “I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match. It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour. It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable. W.”
