There’s no keeping rapper DaBaby away from music, as he plans his future as an R&B singer. The rapper received intense backlash after inaccurate comments about the LGBTQ+ community.
Over a month ago, rapper DaBaby hopped on stage, without knowing it could almost cost his career. As he was on stage at Rolling Loud, rapper DaBaby shocked everyone. And not in a good way.
At one point, he called on the crowd to put their phone lights in the air and inexplicably singled out fans who “didn’t show up today with HIV/AIDS or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that will make you die in two to three weeks.” But there was much more.

Several festival lineups including Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Day N Vegas dropped DaBaby in the wake of the controversy.
But there’s no stopping him. In a new Instagram Story video featuring his young daughter where they’re singing along to J. Cole and Miguel’s “Power Trip,” DaBaby jokes about being “canceled” and having to find another job.
So DaBaby thinks he might be having a future as an R&B singer.
He wrote: “They done canceled yo daddy twin. I’m switching to R&B. F**k a rap.”
As we can all see, he takes the controversy after his comments very seriously. However, he is still set to perform at Hot 97’s Summer Jam next Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
