In a smart PR move, the ladies of the new SATC revival, And Just Like That…, have joined in the talk, and released a statement about Chris Noth’s sex assault allegations.

Given that Sarah Jessica Parker is a close friend to Noth, one might have expected her to take his side. But she didn’t. At least, not publicly.

She and fellow cast members Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have shared a joint statement praising the women who came forward. So far, Noth has denied the accusations from the two women, but a third one jumped in, with a similar story. Which are all credible.

Social media has been blindly taking Noth’s side because, let’s face it, he’s the image of a very powerful man (Mr. Big), and he’s a cisgender, white male. Who could get anyone he wants. But when he doesn’t, he sexually assaults women.

In their joint statement, the ladies wrote: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth.”

The statement continued: “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
