Selena Gomez took it to social media to call out Facebook and President Joe Biden over the spread of misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccine. She continued: “why do they still refuse to act?”
Selena Gomez is using her platform to raise awareness of the misinformation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccines. Selena, who has 64.9 million followers on Twitter alone, is doing her best to help end the pandemic.
The “Good For You” singer wanted to bring attention to one of her tweets about this from late December 2020, and how there has been no action about it.
Her first tweet wrote: “Scientific disinformation has and will cost lives. @Facebook said they don’t allow lies about COVID and vaccines to be spread on their platforms. So how come all of this is still happening? Facebook is going to be responsible for thousands of deaths if they don’t take action now!”
Now Selena Gomez is back calling out Facebook and President Biden for the lack of action regarding the misinformation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine.
She wrote on Twitter: “@PresidentBiden and @Surgeon_General have finally called for action by @Facebook”
She continued: “@CCDHate found that 12 people are behind 2 in 3 of all misinformation. So why do they still refuse to act?
