The wait is finally over. The long awaited Venom 2 debuts trailer, and introduces the new villain Carnage. Woody Harrelson will also make his debut in the Sony / Marvel world as a villain.
The first Venom movie debuted in 2018. While it wasn’t as successful as other movies in the Marvel Universe, Tom Hardy has his own way with characters. Currently, the 2018’s Venom has a score of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ouch.
But we have high hopes, since it’s a movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, right? As Venom 2 debuts trailer, we have some new reasons to be hyped up.
The sequel promises a lot of action, and introduces a new villain, Carnage. In fact, the sequel’s official title is Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
I wonder if they’ll have Eminem singing all this title, too.
Coming back to the trailer, we get thirty seconds of Eddie Brock’s day-to-day life with Venom. The two are trying to get their morning started, with Eddie just putting up with Venom. He also makes a huge mess while trying to make breakfast. See, day-to-day life. Superheroes, they’re just like us.
And we also get a glimpse at Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady, who is a crazy serial killer who survives a lethal injection in prison. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, because the injection awakens the symbiote inside of him, transforming him into Carnage.
Venom and Carnage seem to have a crazy symbiote battle in the movie, and who would win?
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on Sept. 24, 2021. The movie should’ve premiered in October 2020. But, as we know, COVID-19 pandemic ruined all our plans. And the movie recently got his official release from Sept. 17 to Sept. 24.
