Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts trailer amid leak a few days ago. The first teaser at the upcoming Sony sequel gets fans excited over possibility of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
A few days ago, there was a major breach with the new Spider-Man. Sony‘s Spider-Man: No Way Home had a leaked trailer, and Sony moved fast to cover it up.
Some links to the alleged trailer were taken down and slapped with a copyright statement. “The media has been disabled in response to a report from the copyright owner,” the message read.
But now Sony officially released the trailer, and it includes a lot of familiar faces.
For the last few months, there have been talks of a possible return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, and the new trailer gives us clues on how that might happen.
As Peter Parker (Tom Holland) deals with the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his identity, he turns to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cover it up and do a spell to make everyone forget who he is.
But as they try to alter the reality, they mess up with the time/ space continuum, creating a multiverse. Which is where Maguire and Garfield have all the opportunities to step up.
Fans are excited to have Alfred Molina return as Doctor Octopus, and they also hint at Jamie Foxx‘s Electro and Willem Dafoe‘s Green Goblin. They were all part of the non-MCU world, but they all could make the return in the multiverse.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be out in theaters December 17, 2021.
