Sony just released the official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it’s giving us a glimpse into the Multiverse. Also, Peter might just lose Mary Jane all over again.
Tom Holland is back in his Spidey suit for the third installment of the new Spider-Man franchise. While dealing with the facts that everyone knows his identity now (thanks, Jake Gyllenhaal), Peter Parker turns to an old friend. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). The two cast a spell to make everyone forget Parker is Spider-Man, but it doesn’t come out as intended.
The spell brings Spider-Man into the Multiverse (huh), and here are all the bad guys. Among them, we see a lot of familiar faces, like Spider-Man’s Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Spider-Man 2’s Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), and The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s Electro (Jamie Foxx).
While a lot of people were expecting maybe Sony will reveal Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield‘s participation in the movie, the trailer doesn’t show it.
But there is a similar scene to The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where Gwen (Emma Stone) falls to her death, and Garfield’s Parker is unable to catch her in time. Here, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man tries to save MJ (Zendaya). Will he?
