Taylor Swift has been dating British actor Joe Alwyn for over five years and rumors are that they are secretly engaged.
Taylor Swift is one of the most famous celebrities out there. Whether you like her or not, she is a household name, and one of the biggest artists of all times.
Taylor began her career when she was merely a teenager and we’ve seen her grow up in front of our eyes. Given that it all happened in the public eye, we’ve also seen her discover herself and date several people.
Unlike any other young adult, she didn’t get as much privacy. So, she was linked to several men in the entertainment industry. Given that she’s also a songwriter writing about her experiences, it has given the media a lot to talk about.
But that changed when she began dating British actor Joe Alwyn. While he’s hardly as famous as she is, he loves his privacy. And Taylor herself changed the narrative and avoided talking about their relationship in the media. She did, however, write numerous songs about their relationship, sprawled over her most recent albums, including reputation, Lover, Folklore, and Evermore.

Now, The Sun published a new report that claims Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are engaged. They have been dating since September 2016. A source shared that the two are not planning on announcing their engagement any time soon.
The same source, who is allegedly close to Joe, revealed: “Taylor and Joe are incredibly happy, and very, very in love. They’ve actually been engaged for a few months but have only told their inner-inner circle — basically immediate family, and trusted, very old friends. Everyone has been sworn to secrecy, too.“
The source continued: “Taylor has a beautiful ring but she only wears it when she’s at home — ie behind closed doors. Again, only a handful of people know details about the wedding and Taylor hasn’t even told some of her team about the engagement.”
“They want their love to stay away from the cameras as much as possible. This is just for them. And if and when they do exchange vows, there most definitely won’t be any Vogue, Rolling Stone or Hello! magazines there. It will be simple and elegant — like them.”
Given how secretive they usually are, take this news with a grain of salt. We’re not expecting to hear her confirm this any time soon. But, if the news are true, congratulations!
