It’s 20 years later, but the feud between Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera continues. As she gets her voice back, Britney called out Christina for not helping her with her conservatorship.
This summer, news broke out that Britney Spears’ conservatorship isn’t as nice as people thought. She addressed the court in a live-streamed meeting, and everyone found out what happened behind closed doors. And what she’s been through for 13 years.
After that, several celebrities wrote messages of support for Britney. Including Christina Aguilera.
Now let’s go back down memory lane to twenty years ago, when Britney and Christina were the hottest stars, and their famous feud.
The two have been in comparison all their career, with a lot of people claiming that Christina Aguilera was envious of Spears’ success. And that she would constantly bring her up in interviews. Much like Justin Timberlake.
But can we really fault them? The media had portrayed Aguilera as the “naughty” one, and Spears as the “innocent” one. They were constantly compared, even if their music wasn’t even that similar. Let’s not even bring up their voices, because their range is completely different. But they were two of the most popular females in the industry at the time, so they had to hate each other, right? No. They didn’t.

It all came crashing down with *that* famous Madonna kiss during the VMAs. Britney’s moment with the Queen of Pop got so much attention, and barely anyone noted Aguilera kissed her, too.
As Christina shared a lengthy message of support to Britney back in June, the latter, who just got her voice back, is calling her out for it.
In an Instagram Story, Britney Spears added a video where Aguilera was asked about her. Her rep didn’t let her answer the question, but Christina said that she is “happy for her.”
Now Britney slammed her, writing: “I love and adore everyone who supported me. But refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie.”
She continued: “13 years being in a corrupt, abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for everyone to talk about? I’m the one who went through it.”
Ouch.
