Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen announce divorce after 13 years of marriage. The official announcement comes after months of speculation.
It’s officially over between Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. After lots of rumors of a rift between them, it looks like it was all true. The two started dating in 2006 and tied the knot in 2009.
In a post shared on Friday, October 28, on his Instagram Stories, Tom Brady announced his divorce from Gisele. He wrote: “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage.“
He continued, “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.“
The NFL star stressed that they “arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration.“
He admitted that it is “painful and difficult,” but that they “wish only the best for each other.”
In her own separate message on her page, Gisele added that “Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce.” She continued that her priority will be their children and that the two “will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care, and attention they greatly deserve.“
The supermodel admits that “the decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart.” She does admit hat it is “difficult to go through something like this,” but adds that she feels “blessed” for their time together and wishes the best for him.
Both asked for “privacy as respect” going forward. Bündchen and Brady share daughter Vivian Lake, 9, and son Benjamin Rein, 12.
