Twitter doesn’t agree with Mark Ruffalo‘s apology. The Avengers actor issued a statement where he stated his apology over his support for Palestine.
The world is in a very difficult place right now. After dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, Israel and Palestine are at odds again. The two countries have suffered a lot already, and the world is more divided than ever.
Several celebrities have showed their support to Palestine, only to be called anti-Semitic. Gigi Hadid is one of those examples.
People on the street are attacking Jews like it’s 1930s. Mark Ruffalo has always been using his platform for things he believed in. A few days ago, he shared a video about the way people attack Jews nowadays.
He wrote: “Folks, this is no way to solve anything. It only leads to more extremism and makes it harder to bring forward peaceful nonviolent solutions to the problems that face us.”
But now the Marvel actor is apologizing over his comments that Israel is “committing genocide” while sharing information on social media about the recent Israel/Hamas headlines.
He wrote:
I have reflected & wanted to apologize for posts during the recent Israel/Hamas fighting that suggested Israel is committing “genocide”. It’s not accurate, it’s inflammatory, disrespectful & is being used to justify antisemitism here & abroad. Now is the time to avoid hyperbole.

And don’t get me wrong. Mark has always been outspoken. It’s one of the reasons why people like him. But now Twitter doesn’t agree with Mark Ruffalo’s apology. And maybe “agree” is a strong word. But they don’t believe he means it.
Some people believe Disney simply didn’t like Mark’s support for Palestine. Here’s some tweets:
Hating on Israel’s occupation is not antisemitic.

.
Hating on Israel terrorism is not antisemitic.
.
Israeli killing innocent Palestinians are inhumane.
.
Israeli bombing Palestinian civilians is an act of genocide. Not self-defense.
.
We don’t hate jews.

Interesting, I have never Mark Ruffalo refer to Palestine as Hamas until this tweet. The corporate overload must have gotten to him. Regardless, it’s always going to be #FreePalestine with or without him! https://t.co/aXl5BZQS2v

Speaking of Palestinians support, just realized that Dua Lipa & Bella Hadid have bigger balls than Mark Ruffalo. 🧐 pic.twitter.com/LsfzmDMdlm

Bella Hadid lost her Dior contract because she supported Palestine but look at this coward, he apologizes for opposing Israel just to keep his job at Marvel. Shame on Mark Ruffalo. #Hulk pic.twitter.com/Jds5gy1Z0C

Why is it that @Disney hasn’t fired @MarkRuffalo but did @ginacarano for her remarks? Is this discrimination towards a woman vs a man? If the Palestinian people want peace, then they need to rise up against Hamas not Israel. Believe they won’t win against the will of God.
