Vampire Academy will have an upcoming series on Peacock, and the show has just found its cast. The series will run for 10 episodes, and it’s getting closer to the screen now.
The Vampire Academy series consists of six books written between 2007 and 2010. The book series focuses on Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir, who are friends despite their social status. The two go through a lot of tasks at St. Vladamir’s Academy before they are ready to enter royal vampire society.
The book has already an adaptation from Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday). However, the movie did poorly. Starring the incredible Zoey Deutch and Danila Kozlovsky as a perfect Dimitri, their chemistry wasn’t enough to save the movie. The movie has 5.5 on IMDB, and 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.
But now Julie Plec‘s next project will be to adapt Richelle Mead‘s books. You remember Julie produced The Vampire Diaries, and the show was a major cult follower.
The cast for the new series is diverse, and they all look pretty young, so they are at least trying to make them look as teenagers.
