Dumbledore is confessing his love for Grindelwald in a new released trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. And it’s the greatest teaser of the series yet.
The third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise is getting closer. Although it came with its issues, the show must go on.
Fans have vowed to boycott the movie amid Johnny Depp‘s departure from the franchise after his legal battle with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Plus, there’s the whole issue with J.K. Rowling‘s alleged transphobia. And the reviews for the second one didn’t help either.
But, after several delays, the movie is back on its feet, and now we have a very different teaser: one where Jude Law‘s Dumbledore confesses his love for Mads Mikkelsen‘s Grindelwald.
Grindelwald’s power seemed to have no limits, so Dumbledore has to create a team to stop him. But the new teaser show them speaking face to face, sitting at a table.
Grindelwald tells him: “It was you who said we would reshape the world. It’s what we said we’d do,” hinting at their plans to conquer the world. To which Dumbledore calmly replies: “Because I was in love with you.”
This seems one of the most compelling, and diverse, teaser in the Harry Potter franchise, especially since the author didn’t seem willing to further open about Dumbledore’s love affair with Grindelwald.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be out on theaters on April 15.
