Sarah Jessica Parker has just announced the first table read with her co-stars for the Sex and the City revival. The series, which will premiere on HBO Max, is called And Just Like That.
The women of Sex and the City have always talked about getting back together. The show, which ran for six seasons on HBO, is still incredibly beloved.
After its finale, two movies followed. Which weren’t exactly fan favorites.
But Sex and the City has a new revival series now called And Just Like That.
Sarah Jessica Parker took it to social media to share the first picture and her co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
She wrote: “Together again. š Read through our first episodes. @justlikethatmax Alongside all the fellas and our newest cast members. Like an ice cream sundae. X.”
“Friendship never goes out of style,” Nixon, 55, wrote, captioning her own post of the same picture.
Davis commented, “Love you forever and ever ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø.”
According to SJP’s Instagram posts, at the table read, Nixon and Davis both had spots. But so did returning favoritesĀ Chris NothĀ (John James “Mr. Big” Preston),Ā Willie GarsonĀ (Stanford Blatch),Ā andĀ Mario CantoneĀ (Anthony Marentino). She also shared a pic of newcomer Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy), who plays a new character, Che Diaz. Ramirez’s character isĀ a non-binary, queer standup comedian who hosts a popular podcast that Bradshaw appears on frequently.
You remember that Kim Cattrall, who played fan-favorite Samantha Jones, is not returning for the revival. There’s always been talk of a feud between Kim and SJP, and Kim didn’t plan on reprising her character.
But we still have Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes to focus on. What kind of adventures will the ladies have now?
